Berkshire native and dancer Gina Bashour, praised by the New York Times as a "powerhouse," returns home this summer to channel her choreography with a powerful ensemble of performers. The site-specific performance combines themes and imagery from the fable of Rumpelstiltskin with a current look at women’s social issues.
You will be guided on an interactive dance adventure, lured by dancers and musicians through our outdoor sculpture park.
Experience TurnPark through a new lens, with visions of the dancers navigating the confinement of what ultimately ties us together - the bonds of out community. Suitable for all ages and lovers of dance, nature, and adventure.
Dancers: Erika Boudreau-Barbee, Fumihiro Kikuchi, Jessy Smith, Julie Seal, Laurie Déziel, Morgaine De Leonardis
Musicians: Lauren Cauley Kalal, violin and Johnathan Lowery, clarinet
Performances will take place beginning at the Gate House on Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, 2018 at 12:00pm and 3:00pm. We invite you to a reception on Saturday August 25 immediately after the second performance for drinks and refreshments.
