Rain date Sunday, October 13, 3-5pm
Come celebrate the end of our busy season! Please join us on Saturday, October 12th from 3-5 PM for an Opening Reception of Kara Smith's installation "Origins of Memory", Jared Gelormino's new interactive sculpture "Sticks and Stones", Live music with LI, and a site-specific dance performance by VEERdance.
Light refreshments will be served. This is a free event.
With Origins of Memory, Kara tries to capture the age-old wisdom of stones by using gold leaf to accentuate the natural surface markings and eroded areas. The larger stones reflect a collective human and natural history; the smaller stones in the necklaces a personal and individual memory. We're pleased to announce that Kara Smith's unique Gold Leaf & Stone Jewelry is now available in the TurnPark Art Space Gift Shop! The TurnPark Specimens is a line of pendant necklaces created with stones found within the Park and accented with 23 karat gold leaf. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and comes with its own detailed field label. Kara's project continues where she has installed site-specific works involving her signature gold leaf on larger stones throughout the park.

VEERdance is a Western MA based dance company founded by Fern Katz, Taylor King, and Verity Nichols.
