DoDoDo DeDeDeDe The Ritual Medicinal

Join us for a performance project by Jacob Fossum & Sandrine Harris on Saturday, July 31st from 7pm - 8:30pm at TurnPark Art Space.

DoDoDo DeDeDeDe explores the fundamental medicinal qualities of sound, movement, place and ritual. Through visual meditations, artists Sandrine Harris (she/her) and Jacob Fossum (he/him) invite participants into a peaceful experience of reflections in the natural world, interacting with the environments and sculptures at TurnPark Art Space.

Jacob Fossum works and lives in the Southern Berkshires and is the Professor of Painting and Drawing at Bard College at Simon’s Rock. His own work deals with observation and interbeing and is grounded in Painting, but also branches into drawing, sculpture, installation, movement, music and video.

Sandrine Harris is a meditation and somatics facilitator based in the Berkshires. She has been performing for several decades, including as a dancer. She was a featured performer in the first Prague Quadrennial and first Prague Fringe festival (early 2000s); the DUMBO Arts Festival (NYC - 2007) in collaboration with Russian artist, Alexandra Lerman; at Danspace project at St Mark’s Church (NYC); and many other venues. She has performed in over 10 countries, including twice in Russia at the International Festival of Movement and Dance on the Volga. Embodying her own interdisciplinary installations since 1998, Sandrine loves creating in collaboration with other art-makers.
