Unraveled: When the rope is pulled, how will you fall?

Turn Park hosts Berkshire native Gina Bashour, praised by the New York Times as a "powerhouse," who returns home this summer to set her choreography on a powerful ensemble of performers. Combining themes and imagery from the fable of Rumpelstiltskin with a current look at women’s social issues, she premieres a sitespecific dance performance titled Unraveled that explores how, when we come together, a woman never has to stand alone.

You will be guided on an interactive dance adventure, lured by dancers and musicians through the stunning architecture of our outdoor sculpture garden.

Experience Turn Park through a new lens, with visions of the grace and artistry of dancers creating a memorable experience in close contact with the natural elements. Suitable for all ages and lovers of dance, nature, and adventure.

Performances will take place beginning at the Gate House on Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, 2018 at 12:00pm and 3:00pm. We invite you to a reception on August 25 immediately after the second performance for drinks and refreshments. Come meet the choreographer, dancers and musicians and share your interpretations of the story.
